Your Health Starts Here.
Hi, my name is Lin Perrault and I am a Registered Massage Therapist and owner of I Am Health.
With 10 years of combined experience and specialized training in Massage, Reflexology, Lymph Drainage, Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation, I am confident that I can provide treatments to help you feel like yourself again.
I have always had an interest in health. Being a mother of nine children (You heard right!), life for me has presented all manner of obstacles and problems that needed solutions. My passion for alternative healing was piqued caring for my children but grew exponentially with the care of my disabled daughter. I saw first hand how these therapies could provide, relieve, ease suffering, and bring healing in ways that conventional medicine could not.
My education started with reflexology but soon led me deeper into the world of natural medicine. Each discipline has added a new understanding of the body and mind, and each one leads to another. I continue to expand my knowledge to be able to provide the most up-to-date treatment for a range of disorders and discomforts.
When most people think of massage therapy, they think of relaxation and stress relief. While this is certainly one of the benefits of massage therapy, it's far from the only one! In fact, massage therapy can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions and symptoms. With I Am Health massage therapy, we offer a variety of massage therapies that can be used to treat different conditions. Massage therapy is a great way to relieve your tension and relax.
The benefits of massage include increasing flexibility, relieving pain from various conditions such as chronic backache or arthritis in the neck or back. Massage therapy is a great way to relieve stress and tension from your muscles, which will in turn provide relief for the body as well. The purpose of this treatment isn't just about relaxation though, it also helps alleviate pain by targeting tense muscle groups! If you suffer from conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, or migraines, our talented staff of massage therapists are here to bring you the relief you've been looking for!
If you're experiencing any sort of pain or discomfort, it might be time to think about seeing your local massage therapist. Our massage therapists will work with you to determine what is causing you the pain and discomfort, but we will also find the best course of treatment.
Stress is something we all deal with to some degree and in different ways. Massage helps relieve stress by decreasing levels of cortisol (a hormone related with anxiety), which also increases endorphins which are the hormones making us happy! Not only does this provide your body time out from its day so that it can recharge itself but studies show massage donors have increased amounts of magnesium AND potassium inside them due to the oils used during therapy.
The good news is that poor posture doesn't have to indicate a lack of effort. Massages will help you relieve tension in your back and neck, allowing muscles natural movement again. The more flexible these areas become, the less likely it'll be for them to get stuck at their current position. The massage also increases blood flow which can alleviate discomfort caused by chronic pain or physical disability.
Pain is your body's way of telling you that something isn't right. We often ignore it until the pain becomes more intense and less tolerable, but this can lead to long term problems like chronic inflammation which affects many systems in our bodies including nerves ending up being compressed or torn from their origin point.
A massage therapist will pinpoint any trigger points around muscle groups causing tightness so they'll be able work out those muscles better than ever before relieving some pretty major discomfort while also promoting healing through increased blood flow!
When you’re having trouble sleeping, the last thing on your mind might be a massage. But if you think about it, when your muscles feel relaxed and ready for bed, that's exactly what will happen. Massages increase circulation, decreases stress hormones and even increases endorphin levels!
Massages are a great way to improve your health and mood. A monthly massage is recommended for most people, but it depends on your individual needs. Massages are a great way to improve your health and mood. This type of treatment has been shown in studies as an effective means for relieving stress, reducing pain, increasing blood flow (and therefore energy) and improving sleep quality!
Headaches can come from tension building up in the neck, shoulders and trapezius muscles. This builds upon strain which triggers a headache pain as well as worsens migraine symptoms. A good way for treating these types of ailments would be getting regular massages done, it relieves all kinds including muscle aches.
